Azeem Alam is a 17 year old R&B/pop singer/songwriter and producer from the Hertfordshire town of Harpenden and attends St Albans School for Boys in St Albans.[1]

Recognition

Alam's first single Hold On, managed to gain a highly respectable Semi-Final position in the UK Songwriting Competition.[2] Alam has also been signed up to the Guild of International Songwriters and Composers, contributing his skills as both a lyricist and a musician around the world, as well as receiving several certificates from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.[3] and a Gold Medal in the National Watford Festival.[4]

Label involvement

Since then he has been getting involved with major record labels such as Island Def Jam and has gained success throughout Hertfordshire due to his publicity in the Herts Advertiser and on Youtube.[5] As well as this, Alam has had airplay on Heart Radio, Chiltern Radio as well as BBC Three Counties Radio in the UK.[6]

At present Alam is working with multi-platinum songwriter, Peter Wright, as well as co-producer for Madonna and Mariah Carey, Tony Shimkin. In addition, Alam has been given the opportunity to offer his skills as a producer and songwriter for artists on major record label, Beluga Heights, as well as UMG artists such as Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo and Usher.

Alam is most renowned as a ghost-writer on Chris Brown and Justin Bieber's recent collaboration entitled 'Next 2 You' with his mentors The Messengers (producers), but is not credited as a co-writer on the record.
